  • My dog has recently become overly hungry and thirsty, to the point were she actually growled for food at the table!! This was TOTALLY out of character as she is the most loveable dog. We'v had her blood tested and shes not diabetic. Very strange.. anyone any ideas????? Shocked

  • Have you considered that you dog may have developed type II diabetes? If he is drinking a lot more than normal and is obsessive about food then this is a possibility. This is especially so if your pet is overweight (like in Humans).

Take him to the vet. Unchecked diabetes can play havoc with an animals insides and can shorten their life considerably.

Take him to see a vet just to check it out. it could be a sign of many ailments. But when your animals behaviour changes in such a manner it usually means something is not quite right. Better be safe than sorry.

  • ust like a little kid who wants doritos followed by a bowl of ice cream, followed by dinner, followed by a popsicle. Feed her what she needs at a regular time, and then ignore the whining even if it drives you nuts for a while. It's hard to say no, but you don't want your dog to be overweight and unhealthy. You know what's good for her, so just stick with it and when she realizes she can't get you to give in, she'll find something else to do (like eating the curtains or sorting out the contents of your garbage can...)
